CraftWeek DC is organized by Washington, DC area artists, galleries, and the James Renwick Alliance (JRA) to recognize the growing community of artists in the Washington DC area working in ceramics, glass, fiber, metal, and wood.
The James Renwick Alliance is an independent, non-profit organization established in 1982 to promote scholarship, education and public appreciation of contemporary American craft art. Its support helps build the contemporary craft collection of the Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian American Art Museum. http://www.jra.org
